Collocation Rules

A rule establishing timelines and procedures for collocation of competitors' equipment at the premises of incumbent local exchange companies such as Qwest and Verizon took effect Jan. 3, 2001. (Docket No. UT-990582),

Incumbents are required to permit collocation of competitors' equipment. This makes it possible for consumers and businesses to get service from competitive local telephone companies through the use of the existing local telephone network.

The specific rule language is included in the adoption order.
