The commission has received Avista Corporation d/b/a Avista Utilities' 2009 integrated resource plan for electric service. An "integrated resource plan" (IRP) describes the mix of generation and supply resources and efficiency improvements that will meet both the current and future energy demands of the utility at the lowest cost to the utility and its ratepayers.
On September 25, 2009, the commission issued a Notice of Opportunity to File Written Comments due by October 30, 2009. The commission will review Avista's plan at a future open meeting. A notice of the date and time of the open meeting that will review Avista's IRP will be issued later.
