On August 25, 2009, the commission received a settlement agreement, in principle, of all issues in this case. The commission reschedules the settlement hearing originally set forth in Order 07 for October 27, 2009 to October 29, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. in the Commission's Hearing Room Second Floor, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drie S.W., Olympia, Washington.
The commission grants, in part, (Order 07) the request to suspend the procedural schedule. The commission retains the date of the public comment hearing (October 12, 2009) although that hearing will now be limited to comments on the settlement terms and conditions reached by the parties.
Background:
The commission has suspended tariff revisions filed by PacifiCorp d/b/a Pacific Power & Light Company. The purpose of the filing is to increase rates and charges for electric service provided to customers in the state of Washington. The company requests an electric rate increase of 38.5 million, or 15.1 percent.
A prehearing conference was held at UTC headquarters in Olympia on March 23, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. (Docket 090205, see "Documents" link below for more information).
The commission issued Order 04 - Prehearing Conference Order which included in its procedural schedule, a prehearing conference to be held October 23, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at UTC headquarters, and an evidentiary hearing to be held October 27 - 30, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at UTC headquarters.
In addition, the commission establishes the time and place for a public comment hearing to provide members of the public with an opportunity to present oral comments to the commission. The public comment hearing will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and ending no later than 7:30 p.m., in the Parker Room, Yakima Valley Community College, 1015 S. 16th Avenue, Yakima, Washington.
