UTC adopts new gas pipeline rules as a result of the passage of Senate Bill 5225.

The commission has amended and adopted rules in WAC 480-93, reflecting changes in RCW Title 80 and 81 resulting from the passage of Substitute Senate Bill 5225 during the 2007 legislative session. The rules update definitions and in addition updates the penalty rule in WAC 480-93-223 to be consistent with federal law, deletes a requirement in WAC 480-93-240(3), and updates the reference date in the adoption by reference rule in WAC 480-93-999(1)(a). The adoption order and rules were filed with the Code Reviser on May 30, 2008, and will be effective on the 31st day following filing.
