Hearings & Rulemakings > Rulemakings > UTC considers rules to govern telecommunications service (line) extensions. The Commission filed a Proposed Rulemaking (CR-102) with the Code Reviser's Office on May 7, 2008, on final draft rules to WAC 480-120-071, Extension of service, relating to requirements for extension of service to customers within a company's service territory, and WAC 480-120-103, Application of service, relating to requirements the applicant and the company must meet for a service application. The Commission provided interested persons the opportunity to submit written comments on the proposed rules by June 6, 2008. Because the Commission recently learned that a few interested persons were inadvertently omitted from the Commission's mailing list, the date for filing comments is extended to July 16, 2008. The Commission filed a continuance of its CR-102 with the Code Reviser's Office on June 23, 2008. In addition, the Commission has rescheduled its adoption hearing from Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 1:30 p.m., to Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 1:30 p.m., at UTC headquarters in Olympia.
