Documents > Electronic Filing > Fact Sheet: Telecom Price Lists Telecommunications UPDATE: As of June 8, 2006, Price List filings are no longer required. Companies providing competitively classified services in the state of Washington are no longer required to file price lists with the commission. Senate Bill 6473 eliminates the use of price lists for competitively classified telecommunications services. Companies will communicate with customers using contracts or customer service agreements. Companies can make revisions to their current price list until June 30, 2007 (see Important Dates to Remember at bottom of page). The commission will no longer accept any price list filings after July 1, 2007, unless companies seek an extension from the commission. If you are electronically submitting a price list revision to the commission, do not follow up with a paper copy. To electronically submit a price list revision, follow these steps: 1. Companies submitting price lists electronically must comply with WAC 480-80. 2. Pre-authorization is not required to electronically file price lists. 3. An electronically filed price list revision is considered received by the commission only when the entire document successfully reaches the commission’s Records Center electronic mailbox or Records Center Web Portal. 4. E-filings received after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, or at any time on weekends and holidays, are not considered officially received or filed until the next business day.
5. All electronically filed price lists should be submitted through the Records Center Web Portal at http://www.wutc.wa.gov/efileform or via e-mail to Records Center. 6. The e-mail’s subject line should contain enough information for staff to determine what the company is transmitting. Example: “Company Name price list revision.” 7. Each electronically filed price list revision should be filed with the commission in a single submission. All supporting documents should be attached to the e-mail or attached to the Web Portal, preferably as a Word or Excel document. 8. Attachments must have descriptive filenames. Examples:
Important dates to remember: June, 2006: Companies may cancel their price list on file at the UTC. June 30, 2007: Deadline for companies to cancel price list on file at the UTC. June 30, 2007: By this date, companies may request a one-year extension to maintain and revise price lists at the UTC. July 1, 2008: The UTC will no longer maintain any price lists for companies.
