061895Initiative 937 requires that utilities obtain a certain proportion of their electricity needs from renewable resources. It also requires that utilities meet certain conservation standards. The Commission is initiating this rulemaking to specify, among other things, how utilities are to demonstrate that they are complying with the Initiative's requirements. This rulemaking may also consider changes in existing Commission rules that might be necessary given the requirements of the Initiative. The Initiative requires that we complete this rulemaking by the end of 2007.
